Purpose of the Job

This position is responsible for providing translation for documents from Arabic to English and vice-versa. In addition, entering data into the database systems; verifying the validity and accuracy of any data before entry as well as acquiring any missing data.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Translate, review, and process children's letters and sponsors' letters from English to Arabic and vice versa
• Translate and process different types of forms received from the Programs Department from Arabic to English
• Translate, review, and copy edit different types of documents such as reports, manuals, flyers, contracts, forms, presentations, etc. from Arabic to English and vice versa
• Subtitle videos and short movies from Arabic to English and vice versa
• Interpretation during meetings and conferences
• Ensure perfection of data from different database systems, and ensure data is complete and sensible
• Capture regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in the text; using word choices and expressions that generally adhere to target language norms and means of expression specific to the subject field, and that is strong enough to convey the intended message(s) successfully
• Perform other relevant tasks and functions as required by the direct manager

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional translation diploma is a plus
• 3 years of professional experience as a translator

Working out of the official hours and on weekends may be required
