Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct behavioral health assessments and screenings to identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- →Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions.
- →Provide individual, group, and family counseling services as appropriate.
- →Deliver Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and related therapeutic modalities to support patient treatment goals.
- →Assist patients in developing coping strategies for stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and other behavioral health conditions.
- →Provide psychoeducation on resilience, emotional regulation, stress management, and performance enhancement.
- →Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- →Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- →Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary consultations.
- →Support prevention and outreach initiatives designed to enhance psychological readiness and overall wellness.
- →Ensure compliance with ethical standards, patient confidentiality requirements, and organizational policies.
Requirements

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Current, active, unrestricted clinical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia, as applicable to discipline
- Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience providing behavioral health services
- Experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based treatment approaches
- Experience working within military, healthcare, government, or community behavioral health settings preferred
- Skills & Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy principles and interventions.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong documentation and case management abilities
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations
- Work Environment
- Work performed in military treatment facilities, operational settings, and clinical environments throughout Japan
- Interaction with active-duty military personnel, beneficiaries, and healthcare professionals
- Compliance with Department of Defense, Military Treatment Facility, and organizational policies and procedures
