We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the EPA's Project Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of activities that support the implementation and delivery of the EPA's Project Management Office. Working alongside the EPA's project management specialists, this role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop project management skills, gain a deeper understanding of PMO practices, and support project teams across the organisation to deliver successful outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse and report on project and portfolio performance using PMO systems and Power BI.
  • Support project teams by providing PMO tools, resources and guidance to strengthen project planning and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project management templates, documentation and other PMO resources.
  • Provide project coordination and administrative support, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO.

 

  • Experience supporting projects or programs in a government or complex organisational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience interpreting and reporting project data, with Power BI experience highly regarded.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Sound judgement, initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

This role sits within the EPA's Project Management Office (PMO), which provides project management frameworks, tools, reporting and governance support across the organisation.

Working closely with project teams, the PMO helps strengthen project delivery, support informed decision-making and drive successful outcomes for the EPA and the communities of NSW.
