This entry-level role involves ensuring the smooth operation of systems and networks that support immigration processes, including case management and data handling. Responsibilities System Support: Assist in monitoring and maintaining servers, workstations, and network systems to ensure reliable performance. User Assistance: Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly. System Setup: Help with the installation and configuration of hardware, software, and network equipment. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic system and network issues under the guidance of senior administrators. Backup Management: Support data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability. Documentation: Maintain records of system configurations, updates, and troubleshooting activities. Security Maintenance: Assist in implementing basic security measures, such as updating antivirus software and managing user access controls. Requirements Knowledge and Experience Diploma or associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration (internship experience is acceptable). Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux. Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, DHCP). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Basic knowledge of IT tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, remote desktop tools). Fluency in both English and Kiswahili (spoken and written). Previous experience in the aviation industry is a plus. Tanzanian national only.
