Position Summary:
The Director for the Nebraska Healthcare Collaborative (Collaborative) and Midwest Institute for Community Health (MICH) is responsible for collaborating with CyncHealth leadership and the Board of Directors to implement a shared vision for the Collaborative and MICH strategic plans, lead Endowed Academic Chair engagements and ongoing performance, develop key community relationships, and lead organizational growth, to support a sustainable funding model for the organizations.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing capacity building, and fundraising, including major gifts, planned gifts, capital campaigns, and special events, for the Collaborative and MICH. This position is also responsible for guiding the development of transparent data access pathways to meet external data needs of external requesters. This includes support for external data requests, oversight of data governance processes, and liaison between the requester and analytics team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Set strategy for the Collaborative & MICH with a focus on optimizing both current and future business needs.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of organization structure, tools, processes, and best practices to achieve desired outcomes.
- Lead Endowed Academic Chair relationships and management of gift commitments.
- Build community partnerships for measurable health outcome impacts.
- Oversee data governance processes in alignment with organizational, state and federal requirements. .
- Grow fundraising program including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors. Identify strategic and/or creative opportunities for funding by leveraging relationships and building strategic partnerships.
- In partnership with the marketing team, create and implement a marketing campaign to promote MICH, and the Collaborative to recruit funders and partners.
- Present updates, facilitate planning, and prepare summary reports with relevant information for the Board of Directors. Support strategic cultivation of Board talent and sustainability planning.
- Facilitate key strategic planning sessions with internal and external stakeholders to support the success of MICH and the Collaborative.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on grant proposals, including identification, proposal writing, and reporting requirements. Oversee internal processes for data request access for community and academic stakeholders while minimizing organizational cost and improving scalability.
- Maintain consistent and productive relationships with CyncHealth team, board members and participants.
- Propose, lead, and/or participate on policy and planning committees and working groups internally in alignment with the organization
- Develop, implement, and utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Collaborative and MICH.
- Participate in organizational strategic planning efforts and ensure assigned function operationalizes necessary steps to meet Collaborative and MICH strategic goals.
- Maintain effective decision making and strategy development for all assigned functions.
- Maintain operational continuity by developing and maintaining capable coverage plans.
- Support interdepartmental efforts to meet operational and strategic objectives.
- Responsible for providing effective vendor management for assigned contracts including relationship management, budget management, contract deadlines, and invoice approvals.
- Responsible for effectively managing available resources in alignment with fiscal stewardship.
- Protect assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.

Experience/Requirements:
- Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, organizational leadership, public health, or related field required. Years of experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with leadership roles responsible for academic research, program development, or community Engagement.
- Experience with academic processes, and data governance strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with business productivity tools
- Experience with project management tools and processes.
- Advanced understanding of executive best practices, pre-event planning, audience development, content programming, meeting management, and post-event evaluations.
- Advance understanding of data science or analytics principles and processes.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
- Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to influence and build consensus across functions and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. As operational deliverable deadlines emerge there are likely to be extended working hours.
- Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Availability to respond to time-sensitive and unexpected organizational priorities as needed.
- Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
