Position Summary:

The Vendor Manager is responsible for operating and maturing CyncHealth’s organization-wide vendor management, procurement, and contract lifecycle program. The position is primarily focused on lifecycle administration and deliverable tracking for vendor contracts, while also providing similar support for revenue generating contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations. The Vendor Manager leads the procurement process and partners with departmental vendor owners to support effective oversight of strategic vendors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Operate and mature the organization’s vendor management program, that includes tracking vendor performance metrics, reviewing deliverables, and conducting regular performance assessments.
  • Develop program procedures to manage contractual requirements, including SLAs and deliverables, for both vendor contracts and revenue generating contracts to ensure they are completed in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for vendor management and procurement processes and provide education and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and administer procurement activities through a cross-functional process from business request through vendor selection and contracting.
  • For routine vendors, manage the procurement workflow in coordination with the requesting department; for strategic vendors, partner with the designated vendor owner and appropriate cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate requests for proposals, vendor evaluations, scoring activities, sole-source documentation, and other procurement records as required by organizational policy.
  • Ensure procurement activities and supporting documentation comply with CyncHealth’s procurement policy and applicable organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle for vendors and revenue generating agreements, including intake, routing, execution, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Co-own the contract repository with the Legal Department and ensure executed agreements, amendments, insurance certificates, and related records are complete and current.
  • Monitor contract milestones, notice periods, renewal dates, deliverables, and other administrative obligations and communicate upcoming requirements to responsible owners.
  • Partner with departmental vendor owners, who retain responsibility for day-to-day vendor performance and relationship management.
  • For strategic vendors, work with the designated vendor owner to establish and maintain an appropriate cadence of routine business reviews.
  • Facilitate performance review processes by maintaining scorecards, tracking contractual deliverables and SLAs, documenting issues, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Manage vendor corrective action plans and escalate repeated SLA failures, missed deliverables, unresolved issues, or material performance concerns to appropriate leadership.
  • Support consistent documentation of vendor review outcomes, decisions, action items, owners, and due dates.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, departmental vendor owners, and other stakeholders to support appropriate review and oversight throughout the vendor and contract lifecycle.
  • Coordinate completion of required vendor due diligence and risk management activities in accordance with established organizational processes.
  • Support interdepartmental efforts to meet operational and strategic objectives.
  • Manage assigned business functions in alignment with the strategic plan and leadership expectations, including development and implementation of OKRs or supplemental business function strategic planning to meet organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring vendors comply with company policies, legal regulations, and data security requirements.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, evaluate vendor performance, and manage data accuracy.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. As operational deliverable deadlines emerge there may be extended working hours.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
