About the Role
~1 min readD-Wave is seeking a skilled Senior RF Engineer to join our Quantum Design and Architecture Group (QDAG), a multidisciplinary team focused on developing the architecture and hardware for next-generation quantum systems. This role spans both quantum device integration and the design of RF and microwave components essential for operating the quantum systems.
You will contribute to the design, simulation, and hands-on testing of microwave components such as microwave filters, circulators, and multiplexers, as well as work on PCB design and procurement for system-level integration. Experience designing and testing microwave hardware for cryogenic systems is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, simulate, and optimize RF/microwave components and PCB layouts for RF and DC circuits, focusing on high-frequency performance and thermal reliability
- →Work with vendors to manufacture and procure microwave components as well as integrated PCBs
- →Develop RF integrated circuits (RFICs) using D-Wave's fabrication stack
- →Conduct comprehensive testing and characterization of microwave circuits using VNA, spectrum analyzers, and other lab equipment across room and cryogenic temperatures
- →Collaborate closely with quantum device engineers to design RF interfaces compatible with cryogenic packaging and interconnects, ensuring seamless integration of RF subsystems with quantum processors
- →Document designs, test procedures, and experimental data for cross-functional use and iterative improvement
- 5+ years of industry experience
