An undergraduate degree in Computer Science (no bootcamp-only or non-CS backgrounds)
1–5 years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer, comfortable operating independently with minimal guidance
A clear track record of excellence, whether from a strong CS program, standout performance at a respected startup, or other notable accomplishments
Recent experience at an early-to-growth-stage startup, or a genuine, demonstrated desire to work in a startup environment
Working familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS
Genuinely excited to work on-site in San Francisco five days a week
Self-motivated, high-ownership, low-ego, and energized by a fast-paced, high-intensity team
Primary interest in core software engineering rather than working exclusively on AI/LLM problems
