Software Engineer

Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed startup operating a fast-growing creator marketplace that connects brands with a large network of content creators. With strong early traction – significant marketplace volume and a creator base in the hundreds of thousands – they’re building an AI-native platform and distribution engine, and we’re helping them grow their engineering team.

We’re hiring a back-end-focused Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the systems that power the marketplace. You’ll own meaningful back-end surface area on a small, fast-moving team, contribute across the full development lifecycle, and play a central role in an upcoming database migration.

• →Design, build, and maintain robust back-end systems
• →Ship scalable solutions for a high-volume marketplace platform
• →Work across the full development lifecycle – programming, debugging, and iterating quickly
• →Partner cross-functionally to integrate new solutions

Tech stack: Postgres, TypeScript, with heavy AI-assisted development

• Roughly 0–2 years of experience focused on back-end software engineering
• A track record of building – through work, school, or substantial side projects – with clear signals of engineering depth and curiosity
• Experience at a high-growth startup, big tech, or a marketplace company; alternatively, side projects that demonstrate real engineering depth
• Comfortable using modern AI development tools as a core part of your workflow
• Hands-on proficiency with Postgres
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a strong program
• Located in and able to work on-site in the NYC metro area five days a week

• Prior experience as a founder or founding engineer, with the ability to reflect candidly on what you learned

• Location: New York, NY
• Work policy: On-site, 5 days/week
• Compensation: $130,000–$200,000 + equity
• Visa sponsorship: Not available; US citizens / Green Card holders. TN transfers considered
