Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Our client is a fast-growing, Series A, AI-native compliance software company serving financial institutions. Compliance is critical for banks, credit unions, and fintechs to get right, yet most of that work still runs manually in legacy tools or spreadsheets. The company replaces it with software that runs third-party due diligence, screens marketing collateral, and keeps compliance teams current with a constantly changing regulatory landscape.

The business has strong product-market fit, with revenue growing more than 5x since its Series A and a customer base that includes well-known, high-growth fintech companies. Engineers join for the traction, the room for real agency and ownership, and a high caliber of talent on a small team.

We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to build the core product experiences customers use every day. Risk and compliance teams run complex, highly structured workflows involving large volumes of data, documents, approvals, and collaboration. This engineer figures out how to make those workflows fast and intuitive, then builds the frontend and backend systems behind them, including AI-powered features that automate work that has historically been manual.

Engineers here own products end-to-end, from understanding the customer problem through technical design, shipping, and operating in production. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the CTO, on a small engineering team. The role suits an engineer who cares about how information is structured, how users move through a workflow, and how technical design enables a great experience.

• Building and shipping new product features end-to-end across the frontend and backend
• Major features from technical design through launch, in close partnership with other engineers and Customer Success
• Intuitive user experiences for complex, data-dense risk and compliance workflows
• AI-powered features that automate historically manual compliance work
• Performance, reliability, and architecture of the application as the company scales, informed by direct work with customers

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building production web applications
• Strong experience building modern, interactive frontend applications and the backend systems that support them
• Excellent product and UX judgment, particularly for complex or data-dense applications
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, application state, APIs, data modeling, and relational databases
• Ability to take a product problem from initial concept through technical design, implementation, and production
• High attention to detail and a strong bar for the quality, performance, and usability of what you ship
