BIG PICTURE:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Producer to help drive our production operations across new and existing format types. This is a ground floor opportunity to help shape the direction of Dhar Mann Studios, ensuring that our stories continue to captivate, inspire, and impact our global audience by continuing to raise in quality while staying true to our core emotional storytelling, and keeping efficiency and budget top of mind. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of boots-on-the-ground experience on set, managing productions in a leadership capacity, with proven expertise in supervising pipelines from ideation through post-production. Recent success in scaling scripted content on YouTube is a bonus, as is a deep understanding of the digital content landscape, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to manage multiple multimedia projects across various stages of creation. HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
- Supervising all life cycles of assigned scripted episodes, from idea to final upload with emphasis on technical production and post, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and delivery to specifications and provided timelines.
- Managing productions in-studio and on-location, showing proficiency in on-set direction, vendor management, adaptability to constantly changing scenarios, as well as confidence in constantly raising our quality standards while positively representing Dhar Mann Studios at all times.
- Collaborating across the organization to ensure all varied projects (Main Channel, Brands, Shorts, Bonus, Verticals, SVOD / FAST, Traditional Media) and connected personnel have what they need to complete projects on-time and on-budget.
- Constantly innovating new efficiencies and workflows to cut time and cost, presenting strategies, production budgets, timelines, and proposed experiments to supervising teams on a monthly cadence.
- Monitoring trends, competitive landscape, best practices, platform dynamics, audience feedback and analytics to continuously refine and improve success.
- Helping to build a pipeline of commercially viable content without losing brand voice or our dedication to moral-driven storytelling for modern audiences.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- 4+ years of experience working in digital scripted production within the film and television industry, preferably within a Producer or Production Coordinator capacity. A bonus if this has been for creators and has garnered millions of views. A reel is required for application submission.
- Deep expertise in digital platforms (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, vertical microdrama applications, SVOD/AVOD/FAST, audience retention mechanics, thumbnail/title/hook mentality, and creator-led programming).
- Strong background in low-cost, quick turnaround production with a social media focus. Adaptability and eagerness to continuously learn and apply new trends, technologies, and creative strategies.
- Proven expertise in high-performing YA content across all genres.
- Experience in fast-moving, deadline-driven creative environments with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Genuine alignment with DMS culture: mission-driven, high-output, collaborative, and audience-focused.
WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Producer will report directly to either our Main Channel Showrunners or our Head of Film & TV, depending on assigned division. They can also expect to work closely with our Founder and our Head of Production.
WHO YOU OVERSEE:
Currently, the Producer has no full-time personnel reporting directly to him or her.
WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
This role will be in-office at our Burbank / Chatsworth Studios.
WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, however, will align with scheduled productions and can occasionally fall outside of these windows.
