About Diligent Pharma

Diligent Pharma is a trusted Quality and Compliance organization serving the clinical trial industry. We connect Trial Sponsors and pre-qualified Vendors through a secure, purpose-built platform that streamlines and accelerates vendor discovery, qualification, and management—delivering faster study start-up, greater efficiency, and stronger compliance for everyone involved.

Our innovative model and technology solve the decades-old problems that still plague our industry: vendor qualification is too slow and redundant. Sponsors continue to qualify vendors in silos, conducting the same audits repeatedly, while vendors must host those same audits time and time again. The result is an immense waste of time and resources across the ecosystem. Diligent Pharma breaks this dysfunction by serving as a truly independent third party that qualifies vendors once on behalf of multiple Sponsors—providing Sponsors with fast access to regulatory mapped qualification and the confidence to move their partnerships forward faster.

We’re on a mission to help deliver life-saving treatments to patients faster by accelerating the pace of clinical research.

The Opportunity

As Director, Client Partnerships, you will be a key revenue driver for Diligent Pharma, owning the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close. You'll open doors with new pharmaceutical and CRO clients while deepening relationships within our existing account base. This is a consultative, solutions-oriented role for someone who thrives on building meaningful client partnerships and delivering measurable impact.

If you're energized by the challenge of building something significant in a fast-moving, innovative company — and you have a track record of winning in the clinical research space — we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Drive Revenue & Pipeline

  • Own and achieve your assigned sales quota with full accountability across the sales lifecycle — from opportunity identification through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Build, manage, and accurately forecast a robust sales pipeline
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, proactive outreach, conference attendance, and targeted business development strategies

Grow & Retain Client Relationships

  • Develop and expand relationships within new and existing accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and escalation point for client needs
  • Manage responses to RFPs and RFIs within assigned accounts
  • Organize and lead client meetings, including capabilities presentations and bid defenses
  • Drive governance processes with strategic accounts in collaboration with services and executive leadership

Contribute to Company Growth

  • Collect and share competitive intelligence to inform sales strategy and go-to-market approaches
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, contracts, marketing, and technical teams to support deal execution and client success
  • Mentor and support the development of junior Business Development team members

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience selling solutions or services to pharmaceutical companies and/or CROs
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the clinical research or life sciences space
  • Understanding of the clinical trial market and competitive landscape
  • Experience with ClinOps
  • Experience as a consultative seller — you listen first, then craft solutions that genuinely address client needs
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, including confidence in proactive outreach
  • Strong analytical thinking and opportunity qualification capabilities
  • Executive presence — comfortable engaging and influencing at all levels, including C-suite
  • The ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree required
