Groundskeeper Porter

GROUNDSKEEPER PORTER PAY RANGE: $15.00-$18.00/hour, based upon experience.

Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue! 

THE GROUNDSKEEPER PORTER POSITION: 
Discovery Capital is currently seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker to assist our Maintenance Team in the upkeep of property conditions.

GROUNDSKEEPER PORTER JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Ensure that the property is free of trash, debris and animal waste.
• Wiping down trash receptacles, window sill cleaning, de-webbing of buildings and doorways, assisting in light maintenance work and other tasks as assigned by management.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the model tour route or route to target apartments.
• Check and replace exterior lighting on a regular basis.
• Pick-up and sweep dumpster areas.
• Advise supervisor of items needing additional attention in the apartment; i.e. ripped carpet, torn linoleum, window or door repair, etc.
• Provide assistance with apartment turnovers as directed.
• In the event of inclement weather, assist with removal of snow/ice from all road/walkways on the property and salt (or another method) when necessary for resident/associate safety.
• Assist with works orders as needed and as determined by skill within the following areas; light plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, drywall repair and painting. 

GROUNDSKEEPER / PORTER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. 
• Professional demeanor and ability to provide a high level of customer service
• Valid Driver's License
• Clean background
• Must meet the physical demands of continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, heavy lifting and carrying items of 50lbs or greater.
