Admissions Counselor

If you are passionate about mentorship, community outreach, and opening doors for others, this role is for you. As an Admissions & Outreach Counselor, you’ll connect with prospective students, guide them through the enrollment journey, and serve as a trusted resource as they explore opportunities through St. Louis Job Corps.

• →Build relationships with prospective students and guide them through every step of the enrollment process
• →Use creative outreach strategies—from community partnerships to alumni networks—to connect with and inspire future students
• →Meet with applicants, learn their goals, and help them determine if the program is the right fit
• →Support students and their families by answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing encouragement along the way
• →Lead or assist with center tours, giving candidates a firsthand look at the opportunities available
• →Represent the program at community events, schools, and local organizations to raise awareness and build strong connections

• A passion for helping young people succeed and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a supportive and approachable style
• Experience in outreach, admissions, recruiting, or youth development programs (2+ years preferred)
• A bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, education, communications, or a related field—or equivalent experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued and a big plus
