About Us:

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Divcon delivers fully integrated automation solutions nationwide that optimize performance, energy efficiency, and reliability across HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and mission-critical systems. Leveraging advanced technologies - including Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and Delta DDC systems - we combine deep technical expertise with field-tested execution to deliver precise, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

About the role:

The Project Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and profitability of construction projects for a subcontractor. This position involves detailed cost tracking, budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to ensure projects stay on budget; variances are identified early, and accurate financial insights are provided to project managers, estimators, and leadership. The role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with construction teams, and familiarity with construction-specific financial practices such as job costing, change orders, retainage, and progress billing impacts.

Responsibilities

  • →2+ years of experience in project financial analysis, cost control, project accounting, or a related analytical role, preferably in the construction industry, subcontracting, or project-based environments.
  • →Prior exposure to construction-specific financial tracking (e.g., budget vs. actual analysis, cost-to-complete forecasting, variance reporting, earned value management) is highly desirable.
  • →Experience working with project teams in a deadline-driven, fast-paced setting and supporting multiple simultaneous projects.
  • →Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, insightful financial reports and contribute to cost-saving or profitability initiatives.

  • →Occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, or reach to access filing cabinets, retrieve documents, or attend meetings.
  • →Occasionally visit active construction sites (with proper PPE) to gather field data, meet with project teams, or verify progress; this may involve walking on uneven surfaces, exposure to typical construction site conditions (noise, dust), and climbing stairs/ladders in limited instances.
  • →Lift, carry, push, or pull light objects and materials weighing up to 20-25 pounds (e.g., binders, laptops, or file boxes).
  • →Have sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read computer screens, printed documents, and small print; and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively by phone, in meetings, or on job sites.
  • →Work in a typical indoor office environment with moderate noise levels, with occasional exposure to outdoor construction environments.
