Within this group, the Global Live Operations team serves as the execution arm of the Live Operations Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, supporting real-time decision-making and operational continuity across the marketplace.
We partner closely with S&O stakeholders to execute structured workflows, monitor live operations, and respond to disruptions such as severe weather, holidays, and demand spikes. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring that strategic decisions are implemented accurately and consistently in real time to maintain delivery quality and marketplace stability.
About the Role
~1 min readAs a Global Live Operations Specialist, you will execute structured, real-time workflows that support delivery quality and operational performance across DoorDash’s marketplace.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where you will follow established playbooks, monitor live operations, and take action to resolve issues as they arise. Over time, you will build the judgment to identify patterns, escalate effectively, and contribute to improving and automating our workflows.
This role is best suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with clear processes and expectations.
About the Role
~1 min read- Execute daily operational workflows to maintain delivery quality and efficiency (e.g., weather playbooks, event support, supply adjustments)
- Monitor live dashboards and respond in real time to emerging issues impacting deliveries
- Investigate individual deliveries or operational anomalies and escalate findings appropriately
- Research local events or conditions that may impact operations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with cross-functional partners to share updates or escalate issues
- Follow established playbooks consistently, while identifying opportunities for clarification or improvement
- Support testing of new tools and workflows, and provide structured feedback to improve efficiency over time
In your first 3–6 months, you will:
- Execute core workflows independently with high accuracy and consistency
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in repetitive, high-volume tasks
- Identify and escalate operational issues in a timely and effective manner
- Build familiarity with key tools, dashboards, and playbooks
- Contribute thoughtful feedback to improve workflows and reduce manual effort
- You are highly detail-oriented and take pride in executing tasks accurately and consistently
- You are reliable and able to stay focused during structured, shift-based work
- You are comfortable following established processes, while learning when to escalate or ask questions
- You communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally in a remote work environment
- You work well with others, approach challenges with a collaborative mindset, and handle feedback constructively
- You remain calm and focused in time-sensitive or fast-paced situations, and can manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- You are comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work with consistency and accuracy
- You are comfortable working a consistent schedule, including weekends and holidays (8AM–4PM ET shifts)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Requirements

- Experience in operations, logistics, customer support, or other structured, process-driven environments
- Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Basic experience working with data or operational tools (e.g. Mode Analytics, Sigma/Looker/Power BI Dashboards)
We expect this position to be filled by 7/18/26.
Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
