Location: Michigan (Onsite/Hybrid)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and validate air brake control systems for commercial vehicles. The role involves working across pneumatic braking components and electronic braking systems (EBS), ensuring safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage system requirements for air brake and EBS systems

Support control algorithms and ECU integration for braking functions (ABS/EBS)

Perform system validation and testing (HIL, vehicle-level, and lab testing)

Ensure compliance with FMVSS 121 and ISO 26262

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, suppliers)

Support diagnostics, fault analysis, and issue resolution

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering

3–7+ years of experience in commercial vehicle braking systems

Knowledge of air brake systems, ABS/EBS, and vehicle networks (CAN)

Experience with testing and validation tools (HIL/SIL)

Strong problem-solving and communication skills
