Production Supervisor

Position: ​​​​​​Production Supervisor
Pay: $55K–$65K; flexible up to ~$67K for a strong candidate.
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent - Direct Placement
Workplace Type: On-site
Schedule: MAD rotating schedule, with supervisors rotating every 2 weeks.

• Days: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Afternoons: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
• Midnights: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Supervisor starts on the day shift.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a shift team of hourly production associates
• Oversee day-to-day shop floor operations to hit targets for output, efficiency and scrap
• Build and adjust the shift production schedule to support customer shipments and plant goals
• Review the daily production schedule and assign work and manpower accordingly
• Monitor equipment performance and confirm cycle times meet established standards
• Perform first-piece approvals at shift start and ongoing quality checks throughout the shift
• Track labour hours and material usage and flag shortages or overages early
• Complete and submit end-of-shift production reporting
• Make timely staffing and production decisions to keep output on target
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, throughput and process efficiency and bring recommendations forward
• Onboard new hires and make sure all team members are properly trained for their roles
• Handle supervisory administration including attendance, documentation and performance reviews
• Enforce quality standards and procedures on every shift
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all health and safety requirements are followed
• Uphold company policies and procedures
• Communicate clearly with management, quality, maintenance and other departments

Must-Haves:

• 2–5 years of Supervisor experience or 4–10 years of Team Lead experience.
• Experience scheduling and supervising employees.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Plastic injection molding experience preferred, but candidates from other manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
• Hands-on leader who is comfortable spending the majority of the shift on the production floor
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once
• Works effectively with people at every level, from production associates to senior management
• Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment without compromising quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving issues on the floor
• Excellent time management and communication skills, including active listening
