Job Title: Calibration Technician
Pay: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
Location: Flint, MI area
Work Type: Full Time, Direct Placement
Location Type: On-site
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
About the Role
~1 min read- Track all gauges through the calibration system and keep everything current
- Calibrate and verify measuring instruments in house
- Coordinate outsourced calibrations with outside labs: request quotes, create purchase orders, ship, receive, and inspect returns
- Review and file calibration certifications and test reports accurately
- Issue, maintain, and monitor gauges for production and quality staff
- Perform audits on the shop floor and support the Quality Manager as needed
Requirements
~1 min read- 3+ years of hands-on calibration experience
- Experience calibrating a range of measuring instruments and gauges (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, pin and thread gauges, etc.)
- Able to read and interpret manufacturing technical drawings
- Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and accurate typing
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Gage Track or similar calibration management software
- Knowledge of ISO 17025
- Experience in an AS9100, aerospace, defense, or precision machining environment
- Stable Monday to Friday day shift
- Merit-based raises through annual reviews
