SEO Content Writer

Aptean is seeking a skilled and versatile SEO Content Writer to join our global Digital Marketing team. In this role, you will write new content and refresh existing content across our English-language portfolio websites, including Logility, Merlin Business Software and SSG Insight. Working from briefs provided by the SEO Specialist, you will produce clear, accurate content that ranks well and converts. You will be part of our global SEO team, reporting directly to the SEO Lead, with responsibility for restoring organic growth across our English-language sites through fresh, high-quality content. This position is ideal for someone who writes well for business audiences and understands how search works.

  Content Creation: Write blogs, landing pages, product and solution pages, and other web content for our English-language sites.

  Content Refresh: Update and improve outdated content so it stays accurate, relevant and competitive in search.

  SEO Writing: Write to briefs from the SEO Specialist, using target keywords naturally and structuring content for search and AI answers.

  Subject Research: Research our products and industries, working with product marketing and subject experts to get the detail right.

  Brand and Style: Write in line with Aptean brand guidelines and each site's tone of voice.

  Conversion Focus: Write clear calls to action and content that moves readers towards enquiry or demo.

  Quality: Proofread and fact-check your work before handover for publishing.

  Collaboration: Work closely with the SEO Specialist, Web Content Specialist and wider marketing team. 

• Writing Experience: You have experience writing web content for B2B, software or technical audiences. 

• SEO Knowledge: You understand how to write content that ranks, including keywords, structure and search intent. 

• Clear Writer: You write plainly and precisely, and can explain complex topics simply. 

• Research Skills: You get up to speed quickly on new industries and products. 

• Attention to Detail: Your work is accurate, consistent and well-edited. 

• Organised: You manage multiple pieces and deadlines across several sites. 

• Open to Feedback: You work well from briefs and take editorial feedback in your stride.
