SEO Specialist

Aptean is seeking a strategic and data-driven SEO Specialist to join our global Digital Marketing team. In this role, you will manage organic search (traditional and AI) across our English-language portfolio websites, including Logility, Merlin Business Software and SSG Insight. You will turn keyword, competitor and content gap analysis into clear direction for our content team. You will be part of our global SEO team, reporting directly to the SEO Lead, with responsibility for restoring organic growth across our English-language sites. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the analysis and the strategy behind SEO.

  SEO Planning: Set organic search priorities for each English-language site, in line with our wider SEO strategy and business goals.

  Keyword and Competitor Research: Carry out keyword research, competitor analysis and content gap analysis across the portfolio.

  Content Direction: Turn research into content briefs and plans for the SEO Writer, and review and optimise the output.

  On-Page Optimisation: Optimise titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and existing content.

  Content Refresh: Identify outdated or underperforming content and prioritise it for update.

  AI and Search Visibility: Monitor and improve how our brands appear in search results and AI-generated answers.

  Technical SEO: Identify technical issues and work with the WordPress Developer to fix them.

  Performance Reporting: Track rankings, organic traffic and conversions, and report on progress. 

• SEO Experience: You have proven experience growing organic traffic for B2B or software websites. 

• Research Skills: You are skilled at keyword research and competitor and content gap analysis. 

• Content Strategy: You can turn data into clear, practical briefs that writers can act on. 

• Technical Understanding: You understand technical SEO and can brief developers clearly. 

• Tools: You are comfortable with Google Search Console, GA4 and a major SEO platform such as Semrush. 

• AI Search Aware: You follow how AI search is changing organic visibility and adapt your approach. 

• Organised: You manage priorities across several websites at once. 

• Effective Communicator: You explain SEO recommendations clearly and work well with writers, developers and marketers.
