Junior Accountant (Temp)

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Reporting to: Chief Accountant

Job Objectives:

To support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with timely reporting and compliance. The Junior Accountant will gain hands-on experience across various accounting functions and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.

• →Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).

• →Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.

• →Perform basic reconciliation tasks (e.g., bank, supplier, customer accounts).

• →Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.

• →Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting monthly closing activities.

• →Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.

• →Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.

• →Help manage petty cash records and staff expense claims
• →Perform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of UAE VAT compliance is a plus.
• Accurate data entry and basic reconciliation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to system-based processes.

• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Exposure to a manufacturing or project-based industry is an advantage.
