• Test finished product and stability samples in line with the laboratory testing schedule.
• Perform wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, including HPLC and GC, and troubleshoot issues with these techniques.
• Review analytical data.
• Maintain all checklists, laboratory records and notebooks you are involved in to GMP standards and in accordance with Hovione internal procedures.
• Maintain good hygiene and housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Carry out routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, and manage the necessary consumables.
• Identify and report discrepancies, deviations and non-conformances in testing or laboratory practices.
• Raise and support investigations into OOS, OOT and atypical results, and other QC incidents.
• Collaborate with internal departments using established communication platforms and processes.
• Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take on additional tasks to support laboratory activities as required.
• Comply with all safety, environmental and GMP regulations and standards.

• Qualification in chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, a pharmaceutical-related field or another relevant science.
• Minimum of 3 years' practical experience in a GMP-regulated QC laboratory in the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
• Extensive hands-on testing experience, including wet chemistry and instrumental techniques such as HPLC and GC using Empower software, with the ability to troubleshoot these techniques.
• Experience in performing review of data.
• Technical understanding of GMP, analytical theory and analytical techniques.
• Clear and open communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• The knowledge, experience and skills to carry out tasks in line with established rules and procedures.

Desirable

• Experience with additional techniques such as Karl Fischer (KF), particle size analysis, capillary electrophoresis or ion chromatography.
• Knowledge of HSE standards.
