→Accurately prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
→Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
→Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to clarify project requirements.
→Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
→Conduct thorough risk analysis and identify areas for cost savings.
→Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals to clients.
→Mentor and train junior estimators as needed.
→Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance the estimating process.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating within commercial construction.
Proficient in Estimating Software (e.g., Accubid, PlanSwift, Syspro) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of NEC codes and industry standards.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost predictions.
A proven track record of managing multiple estimates simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately in a remote or hybrid setting.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator - CPE) are a plus.
