Middle School Mathematics Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Experior Asia is supporting a leading international school in Hong Kong with the appointment of an experienced Middle School Mathematics Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover position. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mathematics educator to join a well-established international school community and teach students at Middle School level. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons to Middle School students, supporting their academic progress and contributing positively to the wider school community. Key responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons to Middle School students. Creating an engaging, supportive and inclusive learning environment. Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback. Differentiating teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities. Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department and wider school. Maintaining high expectations for student learning, behaviour and participation. Communicating effectively with students, colleagues and parents where appropriate. Contributing to the professional and pastoral life of the school during the appointment. This is a part-time maternity cover appointment commencing in October 2026 for approximately five months. It would particularly suit an experienced Mathematics teacher already based in Hong Kong who is looking for a high-quality short-term international school opportunity. Requirements Applicants should ideally have: A recognised degree in Mathematics, Education or a relevant related subject. A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, QTS or equivalent. Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or Middle School level. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Experience within an international school environment would be advantageous. Hong Kong teacher registration, or eligibility for registration, would be beneficial. The ability to work legally in Hong Kong for the duration of the appointment is highly desirable.
