As an Estimating Analyst I, you will play an important role in supporting the profitability and success of our homebuilding operations. Working within the Purchasing team, you will prepare accurate cost estimates, generate purchase orders, and ensure estimating data is complete, accurate, and aligned with construction plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational knowledge of residential construction while working in a collaborative, process-driven environment. These skills will be used to:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using established estimating systems and standardized workflows.
  • Generate and release purchase orders that support construction schedules and operational timelines.
  • Review construction plans and customer selections to verify estimate accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Process estimate revisions and change orders while maintaining system accuracy.
  • Perform quality checks by comparing estimates across similar projects to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain accurate data within estimating systems, Excel upload templates, and related databases.
  • Follow established estimating standards, procedures, and quality control processes.
  • Partner with senior team members to resolve complex estimating scenarios.
  • Support departmental production needs and assist with additional estimating assignments as business needs evolve.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in residential construction or production homebuilding.
  • Exposure to estimating software, ERP systems, or database-driven workflows.
  • Experience working with large datasets and standardized business processes.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders through telephone and face-to-face interaction.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment including a computer, calculator, and copier.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based work.
