The Supervisor works with the Management Team and the General Manager to direct and supervise the overall operations of the location, typically with a specific department as a focus area. The main objective of this role is to support the hourly team members to execute job responsibilities throughout the shift, delivering exceptional guest experiences.  Additionally, the individual may be responsible for the completion of tasks related to (and to support) management.  


Job Design:


The Supervisor will be assigned to a primary location, but may be asked to work at alternate locations if the need should arise.  The goal of this position is to familiarize the individual with management practices and procedures to best prepare them to move into a salaried management position in the future. 


The Supervisor is expected to maintain a full-time (37.5+ hour) work schedule and will be scheduled to work in this position for two shifts per week, while the remaining 2-3 shifts may be worked in any other FOH department in which the individual is trained.

  • Understands all company policies and procedures

  • Upholds company standards, specifications, and guidelines with all food and beverage 

  • Understands the training program in their specific department

  • Ensures guest relations are at the front of mind and holds their peers accountable to do the same

  • Embraces a culture of professionalism and is a proven leader amongst their peers

  • Provides conflict resolutions in a positive, effective manner

  • Ensures the team members are upholding company standards of service and hospitality

  • Champions change and embraces new initiatives that are implemented by the Executive Team

  • Maintains the appearance of their department within the location and monitors sanitation/cleanliness in all departments within the location

  • Effectively communicates and understands the core values of the company

  • Monitors and maintains daily POS transactions – reports any issues, and ensures items ring in correctly

  • Completion of any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management Team


Requirements :


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Current full-time employee of The Cake Bake Shop and is in good standing

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with outstanding leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills 

  • Must be able to work 30+ hours per week and have open availability on Weekdays, Week Nights, Weekends and Holidays

  • Must be physically able to stand, bend or stoop and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be Servsafe certified

  • Must be proficient in Food and Alcohol Safety
