Pay Rate:
$112,000 – 135,000
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

This position is located at the Columbus, MS Global Cellulose Fibers mill. As one of the largest softwood pulp producers in the world, this location produces bleached softwood pulp for use in paper and specialty products such as absorbent personal care products, pharmaceuticals and photographic-based papers.
About The Role:
The Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) is part of the Utilities leadership team, and reports directly to the Utilities Business Unit Manager.
The OMC provides leadership and support to the Business Unit Manager, Area Process Managers, Maintenance Manager, Front Line Leaders, Production Coordinators and operating crews to ensure continuity and efficiency of the operations and facilitate sound business decisions for the process areas.
The Business Unit consists of salaried managers and hourly employees. The OMC is the link between department production and maintenance units. They interact with mill operations, maintenance, and management personnel on a day-to-day basis while performing their duties.
The Utilities Business Unit equipment consists of a Multi effect Black Liquor Evaporator, Black Liquor Recovery Boiler, Causticizing Plant, Lime Kiln, Multifuel Bark Boiler, Three Steam Turbine Generators, Two Influent Water Plants (Surface and Well Water), Demineralization Water plant, Five Water Chillers, Three Air Compressors and other auxiliaries associated with Steam and Power plant.
Key Accountabilities:
Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS)
Lead the Utilities MWS team and drive effective, efficient maintenance execution for the department
Facilitate all Manufacturing Work System (MWS) meetings – daily, planning meetings, weekly scheduling, outage planning
Own MWS metrics for the area, deliver Pacesetter quality performance or better
Manage SAP-PM notification review, approval, prioritization, and scheduling
Facilitate activities necessary to execute the maintenance daily schedule (e.g., lockouts, hot work permits, confined space permits, etc.) while considering the area’s maintenance budget
Support the maintenance planners in detailed planning for daily, weekly and shutdown process
Support the maintenance planners in managing spending and checkbooks for the area.
Work directly with Area Process Managers and Maintenance Manager to review and manage work backlogs
Translate RCFA corrective actions into scheduled work
Act as gatekeeper for all break-in work
Set expectations for precision maintenance – Mechanical (MPM) and Instrumentation Electrical (IEPM)
Outages
Organize and provide support for routine and annual outage plan development and execution
Coordinate area’s field outages and annual outages
Develop field day and annual outage bar chart schedules
Responsibilities as the Lockout Coordinator
Basic Care:
Be an area advocate for Operator Basic Care (OBC) to improve area reliability.

Audit and track completion of basic care rounds
Own basic care audits
In addition, the Utilities OMC will do the following:
Provide visible and active leadership in delivering excellent safety results
Complete safety audits to ensure internal and external resources are complying with safe work practices and permitting requirements
Clearly communicate with maintenance and production team members
Support the Utilities department as APM relief and weekend duty coverage
Leadership, including team member engagement, diversity, employee development in a non-union environment.
Utilize the MOC process
Understand and have working knowledge of the Orange Book requirements with regards to prioritizing maintenance work on routine and annual outages
Understand and promote Manufacturing Excellence (ME) tools and processes; participate in and lead ME improvement initiatives in the department
Provide support for capital project development and implementation
Provide support for budgeting cycle targeted at delivering year over year savings
Facilitate the implementation of new procedures and controls required by the change in facility or corporate policies and procedures
Support 5S programs
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred
5-10 years' experience working in manufacturing
Proven track record of driving and instilling safety as a core value
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proven ability to analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams
