| ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |

- Knowledgeable and ability to implement company safety procedures and Retreat safety policies.
- Computer skills and MS Office basic knowledge (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) to use the company intranet.
- Be able to perform a wide variety of tasks, working independently or with other personnel in a remote environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and to communicate effectively with other staff and Retreat guests.
- Have a broad knowledge base sufficient to plan, organize and implement routine maintenance functions that may require a combination of carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.
- Be familiar with diesel powered electrical generators and be able to perform routine maintenance and servicing.
- Be able to operate heavy equipment including skid-steer and tractor.
- Be able to perform routine janitorial functions such as maintaining clean and properly organized buildings and the use and storage of potentially toxic materials.
- Be able to handle and properly dispose of waste of all kinds; safely handle fuels, solvents, and flammable materials.
- Be familiar with basic building and construction practices and standards.
- Be able to perform mechanical inspections and service or repair Retreat equipment.
- DECISION MAKING: Uses sound, logical judgment based on department and company policy and procedures, data, research, and experience to choose an appropriate course of action.
Requirements
~1 min read- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in construction trades involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills; with sufficient experience to demonstrate understanding of equipment operation, mechanical inspections, servicing, and repair.
- Within one month of hire: Completion of company provided First Aid/CPR/AED training.

Requirements
~2 min read- Following company guidelines, efficiently and safely entering, and exiting aircraft, boats and other motorized equipment, operation of 6-wheeler, 4-wheeler, and Bobcat, and operating an outboard motorboat.
- Must be physically able to perform routine ground keeping functions that require , digging/shoveling, , carrying, lifting, climbing and similar activities.
- High degree of balance, coordination, and strength needed to ascend, descend, and work with tools and equipment at heights up to 20 feet safely and routinely.
- Safely move, transport, position, install, remove, and maneuver equipment and supplies of up to 70-pounds occasionally, 50-pounds more regularly, up to 20 pounds frequently.
- High degree of dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and to connect, separate, and twist multiple smaller items daily.
- Visual acuity is necessary to identify, inspect, observe, and assess details at near, mid, and far ranges.
- Ability to clearly distinguish colors for driving, identifying cables or other electrical components, and safety signage.
- Auditory acuity necessary to operate equipment; capable of distinguishing between equipment signals and the human voice often amidst background noises, such as wind, rain, traffic, telecommunications equipment, and climate control systems.
- Must live and work at a remote Retreat location (with employer provided room and board) for a period of approximately 4 months. My work schedule is 7 days per week. Most duties are performed outside with exposure to weather, fuels, solvents, and chemicals.
