Owner Relations Property Manager

GC Realty & Development, LLC has spent 23 years building one of Chicagoland's leading property management and brokerage companies. We manage roughly 1,500 units for 500+ private investors across the city of Chicago and hundreds of suburbs, and we're growing to 3,500 doors over the next four years. This kind of growth requires a Property Manager who is proactive, responsive, and passionate about delivering a remarkable experience to property owners. The right candidate brings deep experience in residential property management, communicates with confidence in English, and wants to grow their career alongside a company that's scaling fast, all from a fully remote position.

• →4+ years of direct, client-facing experience in residential property management
• →Strong English written and verbal communication skills, especially over phone and email
• →Deep understanding of property management operations, including leasing, maintenance, resident relations, and financial management
• →Working knowledge of major property components (HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical), their costs, and replacement methods, with the ability to help clients budget for capital improvements
• →Confidence asking contractors and maintenance staff the right questions to make informed repair-or-replace recommendations
• →Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and clarity
• →Ability to stay calm, positive, and decisive in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines
• →Collaborative mindset for working with leasing, maintenance, and financial teams
• →Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace

• Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Buildium, or similar systems
• Experience in third-party, scattered-site, single-family, or small multifamily property management
• Experience managing properties in a Midwest climate (seasonal maintenance, winterization, snow and freeze-related issues)
• Experience living or working in the U.S.
• Familiarity with U.S. landlord-tenant regulations, such as the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (CRLTO)
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field
