Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Helper / Installation & Service Assistant to support our electricians and technicians with residential electrical installations, equipment installations, maintenance, and service calls.

This is a hands-on position involving physical work, basic tool usage, equipment handling, and job site preparation. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, and willing to learn.

Previous electrical experience is a plus but not required. We provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

Assist electricians and technicians with residential installation and service projects.
Help install electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and related components under appropriate supervision.
Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and positioning equipment and materials.
Prepare job sites, organize tools, and ensure necessary materials are available.
Assist with routine equipment maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
Perform basic mechanical and electrical support tasks as directed by qualified technicians.
Help with digging, trenching, mounting equipment, and other installation-related activities.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Follow all safety procedures and applicable electrical codes.
Maintain clean and safe job sites throughout each project.
Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members.
Assist with completing job documentation and other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.
Experience with propane gas is highly desirable, but not required.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment safely, with assistance or lifting equipment when needed.
Comfortable climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and performing physical labor.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Professional attitude when interacting with customers.

Prior experience in electrical work, construction, HVAC, plumbing, equipment installation, or general maintenance is beneficial but not required.
