Production Operator - Day Shift

Description

· Follows ALL PPE & Safety requirements for the area.

· Lift truck certification.

· Make small adjustments to machinery to inform a steady flow of material.

· Place pallets at the end of the line for stacking.

· Keep track of scrap slabs.

· Always keep the work area clean.

· Keep accurate count of stacking count.

· Keep up with finished pallets.

· Input data quality checks.

· Properly enter all quality information into the computer.

· Cross train when necessary.

· May be asked to train other operators. 

· Report quality issues to the lead & supervisor.

· Make pallet labels.

· Have a positive attitude. 

· Work as a team.

Requirements

· Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills.

· Computer skills including Microsoft Office

· Effective problem-solving skills.

· High School diploma or GED

· Ability to cross train and perform additional duties as needed.

· Experience in LVT/LVP/SPC/PVC industry preferred.

· Ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

· Ability to work in an environment that is noisy.

· Ability to perform specific duties with instructions but without direct supervision.

· Ability to communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.
