The Development Manager ensures stewardship and engaged communications with key donors and creates and manages lasting systems to maintain and advance partnerships with a range of foundations, corporations, and individuals.
Partner with the Senior Director to cultivate, maintain, and advance relationships with a range of organizations, institutions, and individuals — bringing a proactive, creative lens to identifying alignment and opportunity
Own a portfolio of donors, prospects, and leads — developing and executing tailored strategies to renew, upgrade, and convert, with a strong instinct for timing and positioning
Drive identification and research of new leads; connect the dots across GHC's landscape to present compelling alignment and recommended strategy to the Senior Director and CEO
Supervise and develop the Development Coordinator
Partner with the CEO and Senior Director to craft personalized, high-impact outreach to prospects and donors; serve as lead point of contact for select relationships in portfolio
Work closely with GHC's Communications team to develop external-facing materials that compellingly articulate GHC's impact and positioning
Manage quarterly update communications to key prospects, donors, and supporters, ensuring consistency, relevance, and strategic intent
Develop, manage, and execute annual EOY and FY-close solicitation campaigns
Manage logistics for quarterly board meetings, including onboarding and offboarding of Board members
Partner with the Senior Director and CEO to implement a robust Board engagement strategy, contributing ideas for deepening Board members' ambassadorship and fundraising activation
Contribute to event strategy in partnership with the CEO and Senior Director, bringing creative thinking to how events advance donor relationships and GHC's positioning
Manage all logistics and communications for in-person and virtual fundraising events
Coordinate with vendors to ensure event success and serve as organizational liaison
Ensure an optimal guest experience that reflects GHC's brand and deepens donor connection
Co-lead management of Salesforce donor database with GHC's Grants Manager, ensuring data hygiene, accuracy, and team adoption
Optimize Salesforce to streamline moves management and improve team workflow
Develop and execute donor analytics reports that surface actionable insights to drive strategy

Requirements
~1 min readEducation: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public health, communications, or business is a plus.
Experience: Four (4) to Seven (7+) years of progressive fundraising experience within the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors.
Donor Management: Proven track record with donor communications, solicitation campaigns, and strategic moves management.
Sector Knowledge: Experience working in global settings with U.S. social impact and global development/health stakeholders.
Leadership: Prior experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring team members preferred.
CRM Systems: Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM; experience with donor analytics and data hygiene is highly preferred.
Digital Tools: Familiarity with fundraising platforms (e.g., Classy, Benevity) and comfort using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
