  • Manage portfolio performance, budgets and reporting, escalating risks and resolving delivery constraints in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Direct the design and validation of complex or innovative architectural solutions that meet client, regulatory, quality, performance and cost requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering and business processes, using relevant metrics and lessons learned to prevent recurring issues.
  • Translate functional strategy and business plans into clear team priorities, motivating people to achieve local and regional goals.
  • Set performance objectives, hold team and project leaders accountable, and take timely action to keep commitments on track.
  • Identify development needs, coach team members and support continuing professional development and succession planning.
  • Build productive relationships with clients and stakeholders, understand their expectations, and communicate solutions and decisions clearly.
  • Support business development and strategic planning while fostering collaboration across disciplines, teams and offices.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Professional registration or accreditation is required; commitment to obtaining and maintaining applicable credentials is expected.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects or a portfolio, including budgets, schedules, quality, risk and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience building effective teams, managing performance, coaching others and developing future leaders.
  • The judgment to navigate complex or competing information, make timely decisions and adapt your approach as priorities change.
  • Clear, compelling written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, client-focused approach and the ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and confidence applying engineering systems, tools and emerging technologies to complex problems.
