We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join us. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in construction estimating, preferably with exposure to onsite construction operations and contract administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full estimating cycle, from reviewing tender documentation and conducting take-offs through to preparing quotations, project budgets, and supporting the handover of successful projects. This role will also involve regular communication with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, so strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Experience in the aluminium windows and doors industry is highly desirable but not essential. We are particularly looking for someone who is commercially minded, detail-oriented, proactive, and whose attitude and approach will complement the existing team.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documentation.
  • Identify project requirements, inclusions, exclusions, and potential risks.
  • Clarify scope and technical requirements with relevant stakeholders where required.
  • Manage the estimating process from initial tender review through to final submission.
  • Conduct accurate and timely quantity take-offs.
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project budgets.
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Compare pricing and ensure estimates are commercially competitive and accurate.
  • Prepare and submit professional quotations and tender submissions.
  • Provide support throughout the contract administration process for awarded projects.
  • Review contract documentation and ensure project requirements are clearly understood.
  • Assist with variations, pricing adjustments, purchase orders, and other commercial documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project and costing records.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate confidently with stakeholders regarding project scope, pricing, timelines, and requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings, discussions, and project handovers as required.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates, quotations, procurement information, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain thorough records of estimates, quotations, tender outcomes, and project information.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Work closely with onsite/project teams to understand construction requirements and ensure estimates reflect practical project conditions.
  • Use onsite experience to identify potential construction issues, risks, and cost implications.
  • Support the transition from estimating to project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of estimating processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Utilize estimating, project management, and documentation systems effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Orgadata Logikal, or other estimating software is advantageous.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, with mid-to-senior level experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full estimating cycle.
  • Previous onsite construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in contract administration or commercial/project administration.
  • Experience dealing directly with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project costs.
  • Aluminum windows and doors experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or construction estimating software.
  • Experience with Orgadata Logikal is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively within an established team.
