First Article Inspection Technician (Onsite)

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Inspection experience and workmanship knowledge preferred.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints
• SAP Experience
• Knowledge of DISCUS software and/or Net-Inspect
• Experience with First Article Inspections and/or AS9201 preferred but not required

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Technician, Material Verification and Control to join our Internal First Article Inspection (FAI) team. This position will create, review, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) packages in accordance with AS9102 and HRC QMS documentation.

This will be an onsite role at any of the following sites: Carlsbad, CA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Colorado Springs, CO, Coralville, IA, Fairfield, CA or Richardson, TX. This role is not eligible for relocation.

• →Creates First Article Inspection Reports, which includes the review of products and both engineering and manufacturing processes in support of Manufacturing Operations.
• →Maintains quality data records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external customers.
• →Information Management - Uses various software packages to maintain and update documents and records.
• →Work with inspectors to assure compliance to quality.
• →Support CORE initiatives through participation and implementation.
• →Participate in special FAI projects as assigned.
