We are looking for a dependable Lower Bay Technician to join our quick lube team. In
this role, you will help complete oil changes and preventative maintenance services
safely, accurately, and efficiently while working underneath vehicles in the lower bay or
pit area.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to communicate clearly
with upper bay technicians, service advisors, and management. Accuracy is essential in
this position because the lower bay plays a critical role in delivering quality service and
protecting customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance checklist procedures.
Remove and install drain plugs properly and safely.
Loosen, remove, install, and tighten oil filters correctly.
Inspect vehicle undercarriages for leaks, damage, loose components, and basic
mechanical concerns.
Identify and report leaks or mechanical issues to the upper bay technician,
service advisor, or manager.
Perform lower bay preventative maintenance services with accuracy.
Service differentials, lubrication points, and other maintenance items as needed.
Follow proper safety procedures while working in the pit and around vehicles.
Communicate clearly with upper bay technicians, service advisors, and
management.
Keep the lower bay and pit area clean, organized, and safe.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced quick lube and automotive service environment.
Follow company processes, service procedures, and quality standards.
Work outside and around the shop in heat, cold, rain, and normal shop
conditions.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license or valid ID.
Previous quick lube, lower bay, pit technician, or automotive maintenance
experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of oil changes, filters, drain plugs, differentials, and lubrication
points is a plus.
Must be dependable, on time, and ready to work.
Must be able to follow directions and company procedures.
Work Environment
This position requires working in and around vehicles, shop equipment, and pit areas.
Candidates should be comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and working in a fast-
paced automotive service setting. If you are reliable, safety-minded, and interested in
building your automotive maintenance skills, we encourage you to apply.
