Director of Supply Chain

Our supply chain team has built something solid. We're looking for a Director of Supply Chain to take it over and take it further: leveling up how we negotiate with suppliers, building out demand planning and a real S&OP cadence, taking ownership of our logistics network end to end, and growing a small team as the work scales. You'll inherit something that runs, and you'll have the room to make it even better. This role reports directly into our VP of Operations.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL. 

• Own the monthly supply plan across our network of contract manufacturers and pack-out partners, working from demand down to purchase orders
• Take over supplier relationships directly and build a negotiation program on top of them: pricing tiers, capacity commitments, and quarterly business reviews backed by scorecards on delivery, yield, quality, and cost
• Publish and own our fully burdened cost per unit, partner with Finance to track it, and find the levers to bring it down through smarter allocation and procurement
• Build and run demand planning and a monthly S&OP cycle that gets Finance, Marketing, and Retail committed to one number
• Design and de-risk our logistics and 3PL network, including routing and freight decisions that affect landed cost
• Manage and develop your team, staying hands-on in the model while building the leadership the function needs as scope grows
• Move our planning process off spreadsheets and onto a system built for it

• Has 8-12 years in CPG supply chain, with at least 3 years owning a function or a major end to end scope
• Has run an asset-light contract manufacturing network: allocating volume across multiple co-manufacturers or co-packers, working within MOQs and capacity ceilings, and managing long lead times
• Has a strong track record negotiating supplier agreements directly
• Has owned a cost-per-unit or COGS number and can tell us the baseline, what they did, and the result
• Has built a supply plan themselves in a model: net requirements, safety stock, on-hand, and open POs
• Has run or stood up an S&OP process and gotten cross-functional teams to commit to a number, including an unpopular one

• You see a working system as a foundation, not a finish line, and you're excited to build on top of it rather than around it
• You stay in the model yourself and bring recommendations, not just data
• You're decisive with incomplete information. You make the call, name the assumption you're carrying, and say what would change your mind
• You're commercially aggressive and relationally durable: you push hard on price and still get the call answered when you need a favor six months later
• You communicate with brevity. Whether it's Finance, the CEO, or a cross-functional partner, they get what they need and nothing extra.
• You move with urgency and low ego, and you don't need a lot of infrastructure to get going
