• Attend pre-construction meetings as required. • Evaluate plans and specifications of construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations. • Perform field inspection to check building structure and material standards. • Perform field and laboratory tests on materials to measure regulatory compliance. • Issue notices of violations and orders to stop construction when structures and materials are not in accordance with regulations. • Forward deviations and disagreements to the city engineer for clarification. • Maintain documentation records. • Perform inspections of existing structures following natural disasters and other events that may affect the integrity of existing structures. • Assist City staff and the public with inquiries. • Attend construction project review meetings. Requirements • Technical level or suitable alternative. • More than 2 years of experience as a construction inspector. • Trained in confined and safe spaces in OSHA construction. • Thorough knowledge of fall protection and work area safety. • ICA certified. • Valid driver's license. • Well communication skill. • Willing to work shifts and weekends. • Ability to work in confined spaces.
