Compounding and dispensing medications, as prescribed by physicians Serves patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drug therapies Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality Monitoring customers’ drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing customers of any potential side effects Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities Providing immunizations, and other medical services, such as taking blood pressure, temperature measurements, and checking blood sugar levels Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections Ensuring the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal regulations Ensuring a safe and clean working environment Conducting health and wellness screenings Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Adhering to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice Educating patients and staff on drug therapies Keeping accurate customer records Requirements Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacology Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc Valid state pharmacist license (or must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure) Proven experience as a pharmacist Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach The ability to understand customers, medical staff, and coworkers Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands The ability to solve problems and weigh the merits of different possible solutions Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware Great organizational skills Benefits Terms of employment: Full Time Permanent Position 35 to 55 hours per week Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning Required Years of experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Salary: negotiable Do follow us on our social media platforms for more job updates We are a Canadian Immigration, Recruitment & Settlement company based in Canada with multiple branches across the globe.
