Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers Develop profitable purchasing strategies Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary Track orders and ensure timely delivery Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage Report KPI (Key Performance Indicator) data as requested by Purchasing Director to assess, analyze and track vendor performance Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be required Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role Applicable knowledge of negotiating prices and terms and conditions Proficiency in the relevant management software programs Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. SpendMap) Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses Great organizational and planning skills Excellent customer service skills The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment The ability to follow client specifications Benefits Terms of employment Full Time Permanent Position 32 to 40 hours per week Required Years of experience: 1-2 Years of experience Salary: $32.56 - $56.73 per hour Do follow us on our social media platforms for more job updates We are a Canadian Immigration, Recruitment & Settlement company based in Canada with multiple branches across the globe.
