We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabrication Technician to join our engineering team in Ruwa. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering with a specialisation in fabrication and must be comfortable working from our Ruwa-based operations. This role involves hands-on fabrication work, equipment handling, production support, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in line with engineering standards. If you are detail‑oriented, reliable, and committed to producing quality results, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, assembling, and finishing according to engineering specifications. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, fabrication plans, and technical diagrams. Operate fabrication machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. Support production processes and ensure high-quality outputs. Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with basic maintenance. Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project timelines. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company operational standards. Identify and report equipment issues or material shortages. Requirements Educational Qualifications Mechanical Engineering qualification with a specialisation in Fabrication Engineering. Accepted levels include: Certificate Diploma Higher National Diploma from a polytechnic or recognised institution. Skills & Competencies Strong practical skills in metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Understanding of workshop safety standards and best practices. Attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Reliability, professionalism, and a proactive approach to tasks. Other Requirements Must be comfortable being based full‑time in Ruwa. Previous experience in a fabrication environment is an added advantage.
