We are a 238-room oceanfront resort offering private balconies, three on-site restaurants, a complimentary movie theater, and kid-friendly attractions like Splash Kamp and lagoon-style pools. Our team helps create memorable experiences for vacationers and event guests from around the world—and we’re proud of the warm, welcoming atmosphere we foster not just for our guests, but for each other.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive excellence in guest services, manage financial performance, and ensure the smooth functioning of daily hotel activities. Your leadership will inspire teams, uphold high standards of hospitality, and foster a welcoming environment for guests from around the world. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape memorable guest experiences while achieving operational success in a vibrant hospitality setting with one of the premium oceanfront location hotels in VBVA. The hotel will be completing a full renovation this year and be fully renovated for the 2027 summer season!

Responsibilities

  • →Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage services including 3 outlets, group sales, and maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • →Lead and supervise hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
  • →Manage hotel budgets, including revenue management, cost control, and financial operations to meet organizational goals.
  • →Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to deliver exceptional customer service and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • →Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and operational efficiency.
  • →Develop strategies for revenue enhancement through effective pricing, marketing initiatives, and occupancy optimization.
  • →Coordinate human resources activities such as staffing, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • →Maintain strong guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring all guest interactions reflect the highest standards of hospitality.
  • →Monitor hotel safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • →Lead crisis management efforts when necessary, including handling emergencies or unexpected operational challenges with calm confidence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel management operations including front desk procedures, night audit processes, and resort experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, multi-line phone systems, and other relevant technology platforms.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to communicate effectively with international guests and staff.
  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue management, budgeting, financial analysis, and human resources within a hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with managerial communication abilities to motivate staff and engage guests positively.
  • Experience overseeing hospitality operations budgets and managing financial performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining hotel standards and operational procedures.

-Prolonged periods of standing and walking the property to conduct inspections.
-Frequent movement between guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and office settings.
-Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods when required.
-Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
-Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

-Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal and guest-relations abilities.
-Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS, POS, RMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management metrics (ADR, RevPAR, occupancy), and industry best practices.
-Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements.
-Skilled in problem-solving, crisis management, and conflict resolution.
-Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, and employment law compliance as related to hotel operations.

-Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
-Minimum of three years of hotel industry experience, including prior supervisory or management experience, required.

-Previous Resort experience required.
