The role holder will be responsible for the daily operations of the accounts receivable and credit control functions to ensure compliance with the University's policies, statutory requirements, approved accounting standard
The position reports to the Manager, Accounts Receivable.
The role will be based at the University's campus in Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for daily Accounts Receivable operations and ensuring that accounting records and systems comply with the University's policies, approved accounting standards, tax requirements (eg. E-invoice and Sales and services tax(SST)) and any other related statutory.
Responsible for the end to end credit control and debt management processes to ensure prompt collections, to generate the customer ageing report on a daily basis to monitor the credit status and to ensure prompt action is taken in accordance with the policies.
Responsible for the monthly reconciliations, analyses and reports pertaining to, but not limited to doubtful debts and bad debts, ageing analysis, collection report, agent commission, as well as ensuring that they are recorded accurately and any unreconciled items are cleared on a timely basis.
In charge of the Accounts Receivable's service helpdesk and ensure that all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
Responsible for student refund requests and ensure that they are processed within the due date.
Collaborate closely with the System Finance team on system applications, improvements and timely implementation.
Review, recommend, develop and implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and controls in billings and credit control.
Responsible for reconciling and clearing Unapplied receipts balances on a daily basis in accordance with the University's Standard of Operating Procedures for Unclaimed Money.
Fill in for any Accounts Receivable team member who is unavailable.
To undertake any other duties as assigned by the line manager or management from time to time.

Education & Qualifications
Essential
Degree or a professional certificate or equivalent.
Desirable
Accounting/CPA/ACCA qualification.
Experience
Essential
Minimum 3 - 4 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
Desirable
Experience working in the education industry.
Competencies, Skills & Knowledge
Essential
Meticulous and attend to details.
Able to exercise critical thinking and propose recommendation.
Self-motivated with high degree of commitment to meet deadlines and objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
Desirable
Knowledge in Oracle Fusion.
Able to communicate with all levels.
Experience with an ERP system.
Able to make and take independent decisions which have minor impact.
Anticipates and highlights issues that need to be considered that contributes to decision making process by providing relevant information and opinions to meet individual/team goals.
