Consignment Director - Timepieces

• →Source quality consignments from private collectors, trade dealers and retailers
• →Ensure property is authenticated and evaluate condition when estimating
• →Negotiate consignor terms under company guidelines
• →Create and proofread catalog descriptions and marketing materials
• →Market specific consignments to valued clients
• →Review settlements and wires
• →Attend trade shows and conventions to obtain consignments, develop strategic partnerships, and evaluate the current marketplace
• →Assist with processing incoming consignments
• →Ensure accuracy of details in consignment paperwork
• →Proactively follow up on pending requests and outstanding issues
• →Assist with gallery previews on and off-site
• →Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within Timepieces in a major auction house and/or experience as a watch dealer

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
• Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills
• Public speaking talents are a plus!
