The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all fleet vehicles and associated equipment while ensuring compliance with company policies and State regulations. MUST have service writer or rental car experience.

Responsibilities

  • →Ensures proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed, including monitoring MVR records for fleet drivers.
  • →Perform MVR records search using the approved background program.
  • →Ensures department compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • →Monitors expenditures; prepares and maintains various records and files; prepares reports.
  • →Maintain comprehensive understanding of all DOT/DMV regulations effecting JP Thomas and vehicle operations.
  • →Review fuel and maintenance transactions to ensure compliance with company policy and identify emerging trends and corrective actions.
  • →Conduct vehicle inspections alongside field managers.
  • →Maintain primary responsibility for scheduling and final assessment of vehicle condition.
  • →Process, monitor, and communicate as appropriate registration/ titling issues with fleet team members.
  • →Identify deficiencies in tools and equipment.
  • →Facilitate vehicle maintenance.
  • →Handle internal vehicle transfers among employees.
  • →Monitor and report on vehicles through the telematics system.
  • →Administer and communicate data in the company vehicle database.
  • →Monitor fuel consumption via the online portal system.
  • →Ensure company vehicle policy compliance.
  • →Review all equipment, repair, and maintenance documentation.
  • →Assist with fleet toll/parking/moving violations as needed.
  • →Maintain responsibility for physical GPS install/ swap.
  • →Other duties as required or assigned.
