About the Role

The Company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director – Connectivity & Products Inspection to lead the growth and strategic development of the Connectivity & Products Inspection business line within the Consumer Goods & Retail division.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this leadership role is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and delivering innovative inspection and connectivity solutions that address the evolving needs of Pakistan's textile, apparel, consumer goods, and manufacturing industries.

The Director will develop and execute the business strategy for the Connectivity & Products Inspection portfolio, working closely with customers, commercial teams, operations, and regional and global experts to deliver integrated solutions that enhance product quality, compliance, supply chain transparency, and market access.

This role requires a strategic leader with a strong engineering foundation, commercial acumen, and deep understanding of inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or consumer goods. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer partnerships, drive operational excellence, and champion innovation by leveraging digital connectivity and technology-enabled inspection solutions to create long-term value for customers and the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Connectivity & Products Inspection business line in Pakistan, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership in alignment with the Company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute the business strategy for Connectivity & Products Inspection, identifying new market opportunities, expanding service offerings, and strengthening the Company's position within the Consumer Goods & Retail sector.
  • Own the full P&L for the Connectivity & Products Inspection business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead IoT and digitalization initiatives to enhance inspection services, operational efficiency, and customer connectivity.
  • Drive business development by building and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers, including textile and apparel manufacturers, exporters, brands, retailers, buying offices, and supply chain partners.
  • Partner with customers to understand their quality, compliance, inspection, and product assurance challenges, delivering tailored inspection and connectivity solutions that create measurable business value.
  • Lead the commercialization and market adoption of the Company's Connectivity & Products Inspection services, ensuring solutions address evolving customer and industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to introduce innovative inspection methodologies, digital connectivity solutions, and technology-enabled services to the Pakistan market.
  • Oversee the operational performance of the business line, ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage digital technologies, automation, data analytics, and connected inspection solutions to improve customer experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, international buyer requirements, and emerging technologies to ensure the Company remains a trusted partner for Pakistan's export industries.
  • Work closely with commercial, laboratory, operations, and technical teams to deliver integrated inspection and assurance solutions that support customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, government bodies, trade associations, and technology providers to strengthen the Company's market presence and expand business opportunities.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for the business line, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the Company at customer engagements, industry forums, and executive meetings, promoting its expertise in Connectivity & Products Inspection and reinforcing its position as the partner of choice for quality and compliance solutions.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Textile, or a related discipline) is required. An MBA or Master's degree is also preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in Connectivity, Products, Inspection, Engineering, Digital Solutions, or Technology-enabled business management.
  • Proven leadership experience within one or more of the following industries:
    • Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
    • Consumer Goods
    • Textile & Apparel
    • Manufacturing
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Supply Chain or Quality Assurance
  • Demonstrated experience leading Connectivity & Products, Inspection Services, Engineering Solutions, Digital Products, Product Development, or technology-enabled business lines.
  • Proven experience with full P&L management and delivering profitable business growth.
  • Experience leading IoT or digital transformation initiatives within engineering, manufacturing, or inspection environments.
  • Strong understanding of inspection, product conformity assessment, quality assurance, manufacturing processes, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing customer-facing products, inspection programs, technical services, or digital platforms that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Commercial leadership experience with responsibility for business growth, customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and financial performance.
  • Experience working with enterprise technologies such as ERP, PLM, MES, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), APIs, and customer integration platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving organizational transformation in a matrix environment.
  • Strong engineering and business acumen with the ability to bridge technical expertise and commercial strategy.
  • Deep understanding of inspection processes, product lifecycle management, quality systems, and customer connectivity solutions.
  • Knowledge of Pakistan's textile, manufacturing, and export ecosystem is highly desirable.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of building and growing technology-enabled businesses.
  • Customer-centric leader with excellent relationship management and consultative engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong financial and commercial management capabilities, including business planning, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
