COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Location: East-Wharf Port (Keamari Port), Karachi (On-Site)
JOB PURPOSE:
Manage and coordinate all security matters for the assigned shift – including access-control management, incident response and supervision of field security personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the supervisor across all security matters and ensure safe custody of security and gate-pass office equipment and premises.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor departmental and field staff as required.
- Obtain NOC / clearance from DNI / Dock Security for staff boarding ships carrying Indian crews.
- Maintain close liaison with government-department field staff and coordinate with transporters on terminal incidents / accidents.
- Coordinate all actions for the quarterly ISPS exercise and inform the agencies specified in the PSFP of exercise developments.
- Maintain attendance, overtime and leave records for security supervisors / guards, and safe custody of documents (hard and soft copies).
- Coordinate with vendors for routine and special security-force requirements, and with Procurement / IT for maintenance of office equipment (computers, VHF sets, vehicles, etc.).
- Inspect supporting documents before submitting visitor / stakeholder permission requests; maintain the passes database in the security application software.
- Ensure implementation of the IMS policy, fire and emergency procedures, safe working practices and PPE use within operational areas.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE:
Deliver toolbox talks and training to field security staff; ensure administration, discipline and consistent performance; ensure QHSE compliance; and promote a culture of team motivation and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education: Min. 14 years of education in a relevant field. Physical and mental fitness per QHSE standards (hand/eye/foot coordination, visual/auditory requirements). Available to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Experience: Min. 2 years in a related field, including handling confidential information with discretion, communicating technical content effectively, and knowledge of port operations and shipping-line terminology.
Language: Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
