Our client is a leading State Bank of Pakistan-licensed microfinance bank with a nationwide presence, committed to advancing financial inclusion and supporting the socio-economic well-being of underserved communities across Pakistan. The organization is seeking to appoint Head Financial Operations to oversee and enhance the bank's financial operations, ensuring strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and
operational efficiency. This role leads financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making
and drive organizational success.
1. Ensuring Bank wide financial discipline.
- Preparing the short & long term strategy in line with the Team Leads & managers
- Ensuring implementation / execution of the agreed strategy
- Ensuring controlled environment within and outside the Finance department
- Ensuring timely and accurately reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with Finance policies and procedures with zero tolerance.
- Remain abreast with best industry practices and to adopt the same where required.
- Elimination of avoidable processes.
- Ensuring the proper control over fixed assets recording and reporting
- Ensuring that all taxes (Direct and Indirect) are deducted / deposited and reported in a timely manner
- Effective segregation of duties to ensure smooth and swift information provision for all the stakeholders
- Ensure that the deadlines / due dates are met as per commitment.
- Monitor and reviews the achievement of targets on a regular basis.
- Recommend corrective measures, as and when required.
- Ensure reconciliation of Bank wide ADC channels nd support to DFI project implementations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CA) are highly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and standards, such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and products, including cash management, treasury operations, and investment products.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
