The Program Director – Psychology provides academic and administrative leadership for the Psychology program. The role is responsible for curriculum oversight, faculty management, student success, and ensuring the program meets accreditation standards while remaining aligned with current developments in psychological science and practice.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- → Provide strategic direction for the Psychology program, including undergraduate and postgraduate offerings.
- → Oversee curriculum development, review, and alignment with accreditation bodies and professional standards.
- → Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty within the department to maintain academic quality.
- → Monitor student academic performance and implement initiatives to improve retention and outcomes.
- → Manage program budgets, resource planning, and departmental administrative functions.
- → Lead accreditation and quality assurance processes, maintaining required documentation and compliance.
- → Foster partnerships with clinical, research, and community organizations relevant to Psychology.
- → Represent the program in institutional committees, academic forums, and external professional bodies.
- → Stay current with advancements in psychological research and integrate evidence-based practices into the program.
Requirements
~1 min read- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in academia, including at least 3 years in a leadership or program management role.
- Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist (preferred).
- Strong publication record and/or applied research experience in Psychology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation processes and higher education regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
